Welcome to ‘The Raid’.
Our aim is to compete and travel 2000km across Mongolia’s Gobi Desert only powered by the wind in our Blokarts – three-wheeled gokarts with a sail – in just 8 days.
Along the way we will be living like nomads and enjoying their hospitality in traditional Mongolian yurts.
After heading to Beijing then onto Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s capital, the expedition will begin on 1 May 2007.
Coming from Europe (UK, France and Holland) and New Zealand, the home of the blokart, we will be supported by a four-wheel drive with a cook and a translator.
